Benzonitrile,2-[(6-choro-3, 4-dihydro-3-methyl-2,4-dioxo-1(2H)-pyrimidinyl)methyl]-, abbreviated as BCMP, is an organic compound.

-Solubility: BCMP is soluble in organic solvents such as dimethyl sulfoxide, ethanol and acetonitrile.
-Melting point: The melting point of BCMP is about 122-124°C.
Use:

1. reaction of toluene with excess trichlorocyanomethane to obtain benzyl trichloromethyl methane.
2. BCMP was obtained by hydrolysis and neutralization of benzyl trichloromethyl methane and urea under alkaline conditions.
